Volunteer Dinner a Success!

Last night the IN team had a great time with Community Organizations Networking Compassionately Together (CONECT). CONECT is a program that helps families with housing-related needs. Naturally, as a food-centered business, we prepared dinner for the families. Our menu consisted of homemade pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw, potato chips, fresh fruit, cookies and lemonade. We envisioned having a picnic style dinner with everyone, basking in the summer sun – but you know how fickle Minnesota weather gets! Because of the rain and wind we opted for the inside activity center. We had so much fun with the families and interacting with the kids. It felt great to get out into the community to lend a hand and we look forward to more opportunities such as these!
